Fund Management and Operations

Head of Mutual Fund Administration Operations

ITMF is adding a Head of Fund Administration Operations to lead the group through growth. This senior leader will develop, implement and manage a strategy for operations while overseeing a team at a wide range of levels. The incumbent will apply deep and broad knowledge of MFA operations to ensure operational excellence, sharpen our focus on our clients, unlock our team’s full potential and continue to shape a high performing culture.

The Head of Mutual Fund Operations will be responsible for:

  • Serves as leader of senior leaders, providing strategic direction, vision, and coaching to leaders within MFA. Effectively manages performance and actively develops direct reports. Manages staff, including cross-site managers. Provides guidance, training and motivation as necessary to develop staff and meet project deliverables. Evaluates, hires, and counsel personnel. Follows corporate disciplinary procedures per established standards as required. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, provides feedback, and recommends wage increases in accordance with all applicable Human Resource policies and procedures.
  • Leads and manages various operations related functions, including contact center, manual processing, automated processing, resource planning, resolution services, and large transaction reporting. Ensures that all daily administrative and operations functions are completed as required by business standards and industry and regulatory guidelines, and support the evolution of those functions as the business and regulatory environments change.
  • Demonstrates initiative and creativity in developing strategic plans and goals for MFA Operations; provides support and guidance to Department Head by assessing internal and external client needs as a basis for recommending service enhancements while addressing the regulatory and operational related risks that are inherent in transfer agent operations. Adapts goals and strategies as market structure, business opportunities or regulations change.
  • Participates in aspects of annual business planning and long-term strategic direction for the department. Understands the financial dynamics of the business forecast and proactively manages business segment and headcount appropriately.

Fund Manager

The Fund Manager will be responsible for acquiring strategic assets both upstream and downstream and investing in the cryptocurrency market. The Fund Manager will be expected to set up the structure of the fund, working actively with fundholders and other internal and external stakeholders.

The Fund Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team in analyzing investment, divestment and acquisition opportunities.
  • On a regular basis, discuss with the management team of portfolio companies on financial performance and strategy and also monitor the performance of the assets against investment plans.
  • Lead the process in conducting business and financial due diligence on potential target companies.
  • Play a significant role in managing investment selection, evaluation, due diligence, negotiation, closing, ongoing corporate governance and potential exit of the portfolio companies.
  • Assist in managing the relationship with external partners
  • Work with other internal stakeholders (e.g. business leads, legal teams, etc) to oversee the deal process from end to end
  • Any other related projects or analysis.

Fund Accountant

The Fund Accountant is responsible for managing the accounting books of an assigned fund. Also ensuring that the balance sheet and profit and loss account are accurately reported on a timely basis within tight deadlines, and makes certain strong internal controls are maintained in accordance with financial policies.

The Fund Account will be responsible for:

  • Daily Accounting
  • Handle accounting for assigned moderate to moderate complex funds, including review of daily price control checks, P&L reasonableness, inter system reconciliations, ensuring that reconciling items are investigated and resolved, or escalated in a timely manner
  • Ensure controls are in place and accounts are accurate on a daily basis, providing clear and accurate management

Fund Analyst

The successful candidate is responsible for managing the trade confirmation, trade and settlements processing and assets maintenance functions of assigned products within ITMF. The person would work closely with client traders, counterparties, custodians/prime brokers and accountants to settle financial transactions for clients trading. The position is responsible for maintaining confirmation and settlement of trades. The candidate should provide strong internal controls.

The position will be responsible for:

  • Process trade confirmation via verbal and electronic means.
  • Process trades settlement.
  • Monitor and report failed trades promptly. Follow up on discrepancies and ensure final settlement of trades.
  • Perform reconciliation of assets holding and cash positions. Follow up on discrepancies.
  • Perform asset servicing such as periodic coupon payments and corporate actions.
  • Liaise with clients, custodian banks, prime brokers and accounting to resolve any problems and provide assistance where necessary.
  • Achieve good understanding of the internal control environment and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Provide coverage for other team members.

Trading Analyst

The Trading Analyst is responsible for the design, operation, and improvement of high‐performance algorithmic trading strategies deployed on electronic trading venues around the world. The Trading Analyst will learn the intricacies of each step of the ITMF trade flow process, eventually integrating into strategy deployment and operation.

The Trading Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Designing, operating and improving high-performing algorithmic trading strategies.
  • Work closely with fund managers and teams to produce customized strategies for each fund.
  • Work closely with software engineers to enhance further development of trading strategies.
  • Achieve good understanding of internal control environment and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Finance and Compliance

Compliance Officer

The compliance officer will be assisted in developing an expertise in the functioning of stock markets and applicable regulations and will over time have responsibility for assisting in the daily review and monitoring of trading activities and the preparation of compliance reports. The individual will also be involved in the trade execution, review and monitoring of staff dealing by employees of the firm. The individual will work directly on ensuring that the firm is fully compliant with all regulatory requirements.

The position will be responsible for:

  • Monitor daily trade staff trading activity for compliance with the firm’s staff dealing rules;
  • Monitor applicable regulations, such as the MAR and MiFID II regulations, Stock Exchange Rules, and Takeover Panel Requirements;
  • Assist in the performance of thematic reviews and reports on market activity;
  • Assist the daily monitoring activities of the business;
  • Liaise with the Central Bank of Ireland and other Regulators as required;
  • Support and assist other team personnel on particular compliance initiatives/projects; and
  • Maintain strong communications with staff across different departments.

Sales and Marketing

Financial Consultant

The Financial Consultant focuses on building strong long-term relationships with our clients; this includes advising clients on the wide range of investment services ITMF offers and presenting them with solutions that meet their individual needs. They offer our clients a personal connection to ITMF, and help them achieve their investment goals. The Financial Consultant will be responsible for the relationship and development of the practice to ensure clients are appropriately considering all the solutions ITMF offers. You will deepen these relationships by providing investment guidance and advice primarily through phone interactions and face-to-face meetings. Additionally, you will grow the practice through proactive calls to prospects and client referrals.

The Financial Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Retain and grow assets of assigned affluent households with significant holdings at ITMF by effectively managing an assigned client base and ensuring that all clients receive an outstanding client experience.
  • Collect client financial information, analyze and evaluate a client’s financial situation, identify investment objectives, and make investment recommendations through a customized financial planning process.
  • Provide advice on a variety of investment solutions such as short-term fixed income, mutual funds, and fee-based, strategic asset allocation offerings, including the advantages and disadvantages of various investment opportunities based on the client’s individual needs.
  • Cultivate current and prospective client relationships and identify opportunities to expand these relationships by responding to client needs with creativity and innovation.
  • Conduct effective client portfolio reviews and propose value-added solutions to client needs.
  • Maintain and update reports accurately.
